Job Summary

Sandbox International, an innovation services firm that helps organizations develop innovative ideas for new products, services, marketing strategies, and consumer experiences is looking to add a Technology Guru to its rapidly-growing team. This individual will work with top leadership to continually develop and maintain all web, database, and IT-related infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a creative, visionary, and entrepreneurial technology “geek” who enjoys all aspects of IT and has an interest in running and growing a hip, creative, fun and successful young company. In addition, this person possesses the vision and leadership ability to develop a complete system solution from the bottom-up. This person will take ownership in the whole project lifecycle: definition, design and development, deployment, maintenance and enhancement. This candidate is committed to developing a quality user experience online. An eye for web design is a plus. The ideal candidate will have an understanding that this is an entrepreneurial new venture and must be open to creative compensation packages.

Responsibilities

•     Build, maintain, test, and administer website, internal database and all related IT technologies
•     Adhere to current company branding and design to maintain consistency across media
•     Continually improve web presence and internet based marketing through search engine optimization, utilization of RSS feeds, etc.
•     Build and maintain company presence in social networking sites (i.e. Facebook and MySpace)
•     Maintain awareness of and leverage current IT and web trends for Sandbox
•     Participate in general management responsibilities of company
•     Have fun

Requirements

•     Completed or currently enrolled in undergraduate degree program
•     Experience designing, building, and maintaining user-friendly web, database, and related IT applications
•     Proven experience with the following Web Standards (HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, XSL, JavaScript, and RSS)
•     Experience with MySQL and PHP (or similar technologies)
•     Proven knowledge with Flash
•     Excellent team player
•     Ability to communicate with all levels of users internally and externally
•     Experience in business and leadership capacities
•     Ability to work effectively and efficiently in fast-paced, creative, entrepreneurial environment with tight deadlines and little guidance at times
•     Outstanding problem-solving and trouble-shooting ability
•     Strong sense of ownership and commitment to extremely high-quality work

Additional Ideal Qualifications

•     BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
•     3+ years business/leadership experience
•     Experience in web layout and design
•     Knowledge of web security
•     Capacity to build and manage IT team, if necessary
